Lauren Seemann

Lauren grew up in West Des Moines and completed her BA degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Cornell College. She worked as a research assistant at the University of Iowa for several years before attending the University of Michigan for her MS in Genetic Counseling. Following the completion of her training as a genetic counselor, she worked for three years in a pediatric and general adult genetics clinic at the University of Virginia. She was excited to have the opportunity to return to Des Moines, joining Mission Cancer + Blood in 2023. She is passionate about expanding access to genetics services, education, and testing in her home state. In her free time, Lauren enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two sons.
