Always Caring. Always Here.

What To Expect When You Arrive

What To Expect

For your first visit, you will receive a reminder call one or two days prior to your appointment. If we are unable to reach you, we will leave a message on your voicemail if available. Reminders after your initial visit will be sent out two days prior to your scheduled appointment via the preferred contact method (text message or email) that you select during our registration process.

When you enter our office, you will check in with our front desk staff. They will request a photo ID, your insurance cards, and ask to take your photo. The photo attaches directly to your medical record.

We will continue to verify your insurance cards at each following visit.  We apologize for the repetitive requests but it is absolutely critical to catch any changes to insurance benefits.

Next, you will be handed an electronic tablet to update your personal information and sign any required forms securely. If you need assistance with our tablets, please don’t hesitate to ask our front desk employees for help. Once you’ve completed the tablet check-in process, you may return it to the front desk staff. Your first check-in will be lengthy, so please try to arrive 30 minutes early to complete the required information. After your first visit, the check-in process is much quicker and does not require that you come in 30 minutes early.

At the end of your visit, you will check out with our scheduling staff. They will take care of coordinating and scheduling any follow-up appointments and anything else the physician may order. If your provider deems it necessary, you may be asked to visit our in-office lab department before you leave.

Planning Travel + Lodging

Our partners MercyOne, Unity Point, and Above + Beyond Cancer have agreements with many hotels near our locations to provide patients, their family members, and friends discounted rates. When you go to make a reservation, ask the hotel staff if they offer a patient rate.
